IMAGINE
You watch the littles running outside, smiling at the shouting from four enthusiastic voices. They don’t know you are peeking at them as you wash dishes in the kitchen window. The view from the kitchen window had never been so entertaining before these sweet ones entered your life.
You glance over at the table, seeing the Toymaker supplies waiting for you after bedtime starts. The first subscription box arrived earlier today, and you’ve been itching to open it and enjoy some quiet time while you make toys. The little ones had been so curious about the mysterious box, but you shooed them away with a twinkle in your eye, telling them you would surprise them later.
You have so many plans. “The little one loves dinosaurs; I’ll make those for sure,” you mutter, grinning as you hear a ferocious and tiny roar coming from outside.
These past few days, while you waited for the subscription box, you had been browsing the BridgeWood Inspiration pictures of homemade toys and reading through some of the tutorials. You were intrigued by the Confetti Blocks and thought that even the watercolor blocks could look beautiful. You even thought you might try your hand at the ‘Moody Roses’ when you had a little more practice. But there were so many choices; how could you decide which wooden toys to make first?
You smile, looking at the children playing again. “I have time.” You think. “Time to practice, time to relax, time to plan.” You tilt your head, thinking. “Maybe I’ll ask the children what they want, and we can plan to make their special toys together.”
Answering roars come from outside. You pause from washing the dishes, watching the joys of your life delight in the innocence of happy, blissful play.
